How We Serve:

We are a very busy group and all are welcome at any meeting.

If you have questions about membership, or our meetings and events, please use the 'Contact Us' form on this page.  Our annual dues are $5.00 and are due in January.  During 2020, we did not meet, but the Executive Committee continued to send donations to many charities.  

Already, in 2022, Women's Group has agreed to sponsor two children with the El Salvador Mission School.  This sponsorship includes a full Scholarship for both children, as well as Bibles, school supplies, shoes and lunch with water for their school year. 

During 2021, Resurrection Women’s Group contributed time and/or items to the Parish:

• Breakfast with Santa – Toy for each child
• Card Ministry - Handmade Sympathy/Get Well Cards are mailed to Parishioners.  In addition, Thinking of You Cards are sent to our parishioners who are shut-ins quarterly 
• COR Vacation Bible School
• COR Social Concerns – School Supplies
• Retirement Gift

Financial donations were also made to:

• St. James the Less Food Pantry – Food items and funds
• Homeless Families Foundation
• St. Francis Center (Vinton County) – Financial assistance for School Supplies
• Word Among Us for Military
• Life Care Alliance - Purchased and delivered 20 fans
• Catholic Relief Services

During the WG August meeting, we had our Ice Cream Social & Book Review night!  We asked for 5-6 volunteers to speak about a book they really liked. In addition, we asked people to email  the names and authors of books they recommend.  Access the compiled book list below.
 

Womens Group Good Reads

The Women's Group meets the first Monday of each month at 7pm in the Ministry Center, unless noted. Most meetings are business meetings followed by a speaker or activity.
