The Church of the Resurrection, using the guidance of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Diocese of Columbus’ Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, has implemented polices and procedures for the protection of children and young adults. These policies and procedures apply directly to all adults (defined as anyone 18 years old or older) having care, custody or control of children or young adults More generally they apply to all members of the community as we, as the Body of Christ, share in the responsibility to provide a safe environment for children and young adults. The links below provide access to the Policies and Procedures that we as a faith community have adopted. Any questions should be addressed to the church office at 614-855-1400.

The Diocese of Columbus wants to hear from anyone who has suffered. If you wish to report an allegation of abuse or need pastoral and/or clinical care in order to begin or continue the process of healing from sexual abuse as a child at the hands of a member of the clergy or a church employee or volunteer, simply call the diocesan Victims' Assistance Coordinator. You can contact the Victims' Assistance Coordinator, Laura Lewis, at 614-241-2568. To obtain a printable copy of the Complaint Form For Allocations of Sexual Abuse of a Minor, click here, or if you wish to receive any of the diocesan policies and procedures, simply call the number above or visit the diocesan web site at www.columbuscatholic.org
As we showcase different parish events on our social media platforms, your privacy is also an upmost concern. Should you have reservations about your image being shared on the parish social media platforms, bulletin, or other forms of communication please contact Rachel Romantic at [email protected] (Communications Coordinator) or Suzanne Larson at [email protected] (Business Manager).
Public events, such as the Parish Picnic, will often have volunteers around taking general photos. Events or ministries specifically related to children will always require a photo release form to be completed (either digitally or on paper) before photos will be taken.
