    • About RISE

RISE (Middle School) – Inspired by Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati’s motto “Verso L’Alto” (TO THE TOP), our middle school program empowers our RISE’rs to apply the gospel to their lives. RISE meets on Sunday events from 6-7:30 in the Ministry Center. In order to better live our purpose to know, love, and serve the Lord we will be focusing this year on our source and summit – Jesus – and our encounter with Him at the mass. In addition we have guys and girls discipleship groups, Service Saturdays, weekly Bible Study, and the Frassati Society – a social club with activities throughout the year. We also have an overnight retreat in February about True Happiness that we find in Jesus. All 6-8 grade students, let us journey together TO THE TOP!

      Who: 7-8th Grade Girls

What: Blaze is a Walking with Purpose ministry for Middle-School girls. It was created to counteract the way our society drives girls to question their identity, worth and beauty. Through Blaze, we emphasize how a girl’s identity is rooted in Christ as God’s chosen, beloved daughter. An antidote to bullying, anxiety, and body-image issues, Blaze replaces lies with truth and strengthens girls from the inside out through the use of Scripture-based programs.

·20 weekly lessons meeting at the same time as Walking with Purpose

·Each week, participants are led through an ice breaker activity and a short lesson based on a lie found in the world and a truth found in Scripture.

·The girls leave with a small take-home gift which corresponds with the lesson.

As the girls are introduced to the Bible in relevant and fresh ways, they will hear Jesus telling them how loved and beautiful they are!

      Who: 6-8th grades

What: What is true happiness? How do we live authentically as ourselves without hiding behind the masks of the status quo? What does it mean to live a life of true greatness? How does all of this contribute to community and helping others to find who they really are?

Be Not Afraid dives down into the deepest desires of the human heart. Desires for happiness, greatness, fulfillment, and true friendship. Utilizing an inspiring quote from St. John Paul II, the youth will go deeper into the roots of these desires and find that at the center of everything they desire is Jesus Christ. They will come to find that “it is Jesus in fact whom [they] seek when [they] dream of happiness” and that it is Him alone who will fulfill all their desires (St. John Paul II).

When: October 4th at 6:00 leaving from the church to October 6th back in time for 11:00 mass

Where: Heartland Retreat Center, 3201 County Road 225, Marengo, OH 43334

      Cost: $75

  • Register Here for 'Family Honor'

In this Real Love & Real Life program, Family Honor will be presenting talks about communication, an understanding of our purpose in life, fostering virtues, including the virtue of chastity, recognizing what real love looks like, fertility appreciation, ideas about dating and marriage and much more.

We chose Family Honor to present a program at Resurrection because they believe in parental empowerment.  They believe you, as parents, are the first and best teachers of your children, and Family Honor wants to serve parents by helping to build and enhance bridges of communication between you and your child.

One parent shared that "This program did such a wonderful job tying in all the things we wanted our children to know about sex and relationships.  Learning about all this with God and the Cardinal Virtues at  the center of it all - just as it should be!"
