Confirmation

We are called, we are chosen, we are sent by God to share His love and light to all the world!  Welcome to the beginning of the next phase of your faith journey!  God has big plans for you, and our Confirmation program helps you discern what those plans might be. 

We begin Confirmation in Fall of freshman year (or older, if we missed you when you were a freshman!), and celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation in Spring of the same school year.  Sunday night sessions are designed to help you deepen your relationship with the God who made you, who loves you, and who calls you!  We have our adult core team along with our student leadership team (Quo Vadis) journey with you through the year, developing life-long friendships and peer mentor relationships.

This is the final sacrament of initiation into the Catholic church. In order to be considered ready to complete this sacrament a participant will have had to of received the sacraments of both baptism and reconciliation. Traditionally done within a students’ 9th grade year of school. However, since a desire to be confirmed is a requirement, sometimes students opt to receive this sacrament later within their High School years when they truly want it. 

Confirmation is the sacrament to receive outpouring gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation. This is a program that spans across 10 months in order to prepare the candidates to receive the completion of baptismal graces. The fee associated covers books and various materials needed for study and an all-day retreat.
