Children's Choir

We would like to welcome new and returning Children’s Choir members.  Below you will find some very important information regarding the Children’s Choir ministry.

Practices:  Practices are held 12:30-1:30 in the Ministry Center except the Sunday prior to the Children’s Mass.   This practice will be held in the church.  Practice on these days will start with a snack in the Ministry Center.  We will then move the rehearsal to the church.  Please pick up your child at the church.  There is no practice on the Sunday following a Children’s Mass.

Mass:  Your child will need to be at Our Lady of the Resurrection Chapel (in church) by 4:30, ready to sing, with their binders, and wearing the red choir shirt (no jeans please).

Registration Form:  The 2024-2025 Children’s Choir Registration can be found on the parish website (cotrna.org). Be sure to confirm and update your contact information including e-mail, street address and phone information.  We send e-mails on a regular basis and it is   important that your information is correct.  

Shirts:  We provide shirts for choir members to wear for masses, so be sure to mark your child’s shirt size on the registration form. Shirts will be distributed at the beginning of the year and are kept for the entire season. You may exchange for another size as needed. All shirts are to be returned after the final Children’s Mass of the season. 

Snacks:  There is a snack offered at each practice.  Parents are asked to provide this snack on a rotating, voluntary basis (via SignUp Genius).  The snack includes a drink, and should be something nutritious with minimal clean-up. Please do not send popcorn or anything containing nuts. 

Binders:  Every choir member will receive a music binder. It is very important that the kids remember to bring their binders to Mass.  It gets very disruptive if kids have to share music.  Binders will be collected after each Mass and redistributed with new music at the following rehearsal.
