The monthly St. James the Less Food Pantry collection will be taken next weekend (May 8 and 9). Monetary donation and food collection boxes are located in the gathering area of our church.
As always, staple food items such as dried beans, saltine crackers, canned soups, meats, fruits and vegetables, and peanut butter and pasta/grain items continue to be needed. Donations of personal hygiene products are also welcome.
Please remember that the pantry cannot distribute any items after the “use by date.” It would be most helpful to the pantry volunteers if donors check the dates on items that are being donated. Large, bulk items (rice, dried beans, etc.) are difficult for the pantry to distribute, and the pantry is not permitted to distribute items such as vitamins or any medicines (aspirin, etc.)
Thanks for your continued support of our brothers and sisters in need; it is greatly appreciated. Please keep those in need in your prayers.
The next pantry collection will be held the weekend of June 12 & 13.
